A Virtual Journey into River Edge from a Distance:  Remembering River Edge
Speaker:  Eric Model

River Edge is a special place – has been for a long time. Join Eric Model as we start to remember who we are, what’s important to us, how it got to be and why.
Eric Model’s family moved to River Edge in 1951. He was raised here. In the 1990’s he came back to town to raise a family of his own.  Journeys into River Edge is adapted from a national Journeys into Hidden America that Eric founded some 30 years ago. It featured explorations of the offbeat, off the beaten path, overlooked and forgotten – places “beyond the interstate”.

A Virtual Journey into River Edge from a Distance:  Hometown Holiday Memories
Speaker:  Eric Model

This year’s different kind of holiday season has us thinking of holiday seasons past. Many associate this time of year with landmark symbols of the season in the city such as the tree at Rockefeller Center, the Rockettes, Santa at Macy’s, the Giant New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at Times Square, etc.  For others the memories are more personal and intimate – friends, family, gifts, dinner and a fireplace filling the room with warmth. But how about River Edge?
This Journey into River Edge will feature “Hometown Holiday Memories”, special places and moments around here for this special time of year. We hope you will share your perspective and your holiday favorites whether at home or around town.
