​Watercolor Florals Class for River Edge Seniors 
Speaker:  Swetha Shenoy 

In this hour-long virtual class, patrons will first learn the basics of watercolors. You will be guided through a set of exercises to understand water and brush control and learn how to paint leaves and flowers. Patrons will then use these techniques to create their own floral composition.​

This is a hands-on interactive course! Part one of the intermediate class will be an introduction to the anatomy of letters (this will be a more in-depth study than what is covered in my beginner course) and basic vocabulary for calligraphers. Week two we will do a variety of lettering drills to practice slant and spacing. Week three we will dive in-depth into the attitude of letters. We will practice various letter forms. Students will be able to explore different calligraphy styles as they learn to develop their own style. ​Color Pencil Drawing Class for Beginners 
​Instructor:  Sarah Kim, Art Teacher


​
For this beginner's adult class, we will learn about combining colors to achieve shading. Our first lesson will be drawing with easy shapes of fruits such as oranges, lemons or apples.  

Materials needed: Pencil, Eraser, Box of colored pencils, pencil sharpener and some drawing paper (or a visual journal or sketch book)
