Deborah Powell moved to River Edge in 1981 with her husband, the late historian Kevin Wright. This began a career and fascination with the most important historic site in Bergen County and northern New Jersey and decades of work to grow the site . Speaker: Eric Model River Edge is a special place – has been for a long time. Join Eric Model as we start to remember who we are, what’s important to us, how it got to be and why. Eric Model’s family moved to River Edge in 1951. He was raised here. In the 1990’s he came back to town to raise a family of his own. Journeys into River Edge is adapted from a national Journeys into Hidden America that Eric founded some 30 years ago.
