Renewals
Items can be renewed if they have not been reserved by another patron. We require your library card barcode to renew. Another way to renew items is to log on to your account.
Library Cards
All residents are eligible for a free library card. Proof of residency is required. Follow this link to Apply for a Library Card online! All River Edge residents are eligible for a free library card. To obtain or renew a River Edge library card you must show proof of residency. Acceptable proof of residency is one of the following: a valid New Jersey driver's license with your name and your River Edge address, or, a DMV non-driver photo identification, or, a current utility bill for your River Edge address with your name on it, or, the deed to your River Edge house or the rental contract for your River Edge residence with your name on it, or, a current property tax bill for your River Edge address with your name on it.
Children are issued a card under the authority of their parent or legal guardian who must present proof of residency and co-sign the child's application.
The replacement fee for a lost card is $3.
